A few years back Questlove had threw out a free drumbreak that he played out for a contest to see who could come up with the best flip of.. At the time, the1978ers were about halfway in & we were still trynna flesh out songs for People of Today. I had just started writing Sacreligious. I believe I only had one verse of it done at that point, and writers block made me wanna make a beat or sumthin. I found the Questlove drums & chopped some sounds to put over it, and somehow the rhyme for Sacreligious was in the same pocket.. So I layed it & after recording a lot of other stuff.. Damn near forgot about it, till I came across it after we released the album. After Slimkat seen Questlove at an event in DC recently & slid him a copy of the vinyl for People of Today.. Somehow it made sense for us to give this remix up for bonus material. #salute to Questlove & the entire Roots Crew from the1978ers

Great production and lyrical wordplay. I love the chemistry and how they feed off each other to produce an insightful, intelligent and fun record. Please produce more! Edward Bailey

This is true jazz rap/hip-hop. The lyricism reminds of classic gangsta rap and the production is stupendous. I definitely recommend this one. Thomas Ylvisaker
